LOVE (Québec) annually engages over 2000 youth, aged 12 to 21. Our unique programs engage youth participants in a process of self-discovery that empowers them to become leaders in their schools and communities. LOVE offers youth a safe space through which they develop a sense of belonging. Participants learn to express their experiences through writing and photography, to share their stories with their peers, to develop their emotional intelligence, and to become agents of change.
Youth are typically referred to the program by their friends, parents, teachers or social workers and commit to attending sessions for 8 to 24 weeks during the school year. Our programs are inter-connected so that youth can stay with us for up to five years as they develop leadership skills and learn to become engaged citizens.
