“Thanks to LOVE Project Québec, I have been able to start dreaming.”
– Oscar, LOVE Project Québec youth participant
LOVE Project Québec annually engages over 2000 youth, aged 12 to 21. Our unique programs engage youth participants in a process of self-discovery that empowers them to become leaders in their schools and communities. LOVE Project Québec offers youth a safe space through which they develop a sense of belonging. Participants learn to express their experiences through writing and photography, to share their stories with their peers, to develop their emotional intelligence, and to become agents of change.
Youth are typically referred to the program by their friends, parents, teachers or social workers and commit to attending sessions for 8 to 24 weeks during the school year. Our programs are inter-connected so that youth can stay with us for up to five years as they develop leadership skills and learn to become engaged citizens.
MEDIA ARTS PROGRAM: offers sessions throughout the academic year to youth for exploring their challenges & difficulties through creative media such as photography and writing while building self-esteem & resilience.
LEADERSHIP PROGRAM: offers a series of workshops and activities throughout the year to empower youth to become active agents of change in their schools and in the community.
SEXOLOGY PROGRAM: offers a series of workshops to allow youth to develop their emotional intelligence, self-esteem and knowledge of various sexological issues (body positivity, consent, etc.), including topics required by the Quebec Ministry of Education.
LIFE SKILLS PROGRAM: Designed to help young people develop essential skills for everyday life, this program offers a series of workshops, professional guest panels, practical tools, and hands-on learning experiences. Tailored for older youth, it helps navigate key life transitions and builds the skills needed for adulthood. Topics include career readiness, post-secondary academic planning, financial literacy, budgeting, independent living, and much more. The program equips participants with the knowledge and confidence to pursue their goals and thrive as they take on life’s next steps.
NATIONAL LEADERSHIP CAMP: unites youth from LOVE Project Québec’s chapters across Canada in order to hone their leadership skills through an intensive week of professionally developed activities.

“LOVE Project Québec has been an integral part of LCCHS for the past four years. LOVE Project Québec is a safe place for students to express themselves and deal with what life throws at them. Many of our students live below the poverty line, come from single parent families and deal with the struggles of being a teen. Many do not fit the typical mold of an ideal student and LOVE Project Québec is a place for them to be themselves. As the teacher rep for LOVE Project Québec, I have had the opportunity to see kids come out of their shells and overcome obstacles that teens feel are insurmountable. Students with self esteem issues and suicidal tendencies have become leaders and mentors to the younger students. This has empowered these young people to continue through their difficulties and conquer their challenges together as a community”

Empowering youth, hand in hand with our schools and community partners
Thanks to the leadership of our Community Outreach team, we expanded our network of community partnerships this year, creating more meaningful opportunities for youth to learn, grow, and thrive. These collaborations provided youth with valuable experiences, new tools, and connections to other inspiring organizations that share our commitment to empowerment and support.
