LOVE (Quebec) celebrates ID/ENTITY at the MEM

LOVE (Quebec) celebrated youth at our art exhibition, ID/ENTITY on November 27th at the beautiful MEM.

ID/ENTITY, held at the vibrant MEM – Centre des Mémoires Montréalaises, brought together alumni, current participants, staff, and supporters to honor the organization’s legacy of fostering creativity and resilience. The walls were adorned with photographs taken by youth over the years, each image telling different stories of identity.

It was incredible to see LOVE’s youth from all walks of life surrounded by creative minds and inspiration all evening, in a space where they can finally see how much they, and their work, matter. As our programs use photography to invite youth to express their feelings and to tell their stories, to showcase those to you all is an honor. After all, a picture (or 30!) is worth a thousand words. Whether you are a long-term donor or a new supporter introduced to LOVE, none of this could have been possible without your generosity and time. We are grateful to share our mission of helping youth to thrive through programs that build emotional intelligence, greater mental health and resilience with you all.

We are especially thankful to Annabelle Agnew, Bastik and Nicolas Munn Rico, all incredible personalities in Montreal’s flourishing art industry, for taking the time to comment on our aspiring artists’ art, filling them with inspiration and pride, and motivation for their future as young artists. We are also incredibly thankful for Tranna Wintour’s radiant presence and contagious energy for animating the evening. A core memory has been made, for our youth and for LOVE!

The event could not have happened without the support and generosity of our donors and supporters. Again, we cannot thank you enough – for your presence, your participation in our raffle and in our audience award. All of these show your endless support for the young leaders of tomorrow.
